A faithful reproduction of a 1940s-era Gordon "double-V" insert freedom-sleeve sweatshirt.
Crafted by a Tokyo-based knitwear sewing factory that specializes in sweatshirts and cut-and-sew garments produced using vintage sewing machines.
The thick fabric, created on old-fashioned loopwheel machines, has been brushed using a restored 100-year-old American-style brushing machine. (The distinct selvedge of the brushed fabric is clearly visible.)
It is characterized by a fabric that is both sturdy and remarkably soft to the touch.
While based on the original silhouette of the time, the length has been slightly extended to make it a practical, wearable piece of clothing that retains an authentic vintage feel.
